KUDO Himachal is a premier martial arts association dedicated to promoting and developing the sport of KUDO in Himachal Pradesh. Founded in 2014 in Solan, Himachal Pradesh, under the leadership of President Ajay Kumar and other esteemed founding members, the association has been guided by Hanshi Mehul Vora, the founder of the KUDO International Federation of India.
Over the past decade, KUDO Himachal has made remarkable strides in the martial arts community, achieving several significant milestones. The association successfully organized two KUDO National Tournaments in 2020-21 and 2021-22, along with the prestigious KUDO National Cup in 2024. These events have showcased the immense talent and dedication of athletes from the state and beyond.
KUDO Himachal takes immense pride in its athletes who have represented both Himachal Pradesh and the nation on national and international platforms. Several national and international players from the association have secured numerous medals, bringing honor and recognition to the region. Among them, Priya Kumari Thapa and Vijay Deep Jaswal have made history by earning recruitment under the sports quota for meritorious sportspersons in the Income Tax Department, where they are currently posted in Mumbai.
Their achievements extend beyond national recognition, as both athletes represented India at the Eurasian Cup held in Yerevan, Armenia. Notably, Priya Kumari Thapa became the first KUDO player from India to win a silver medal at the senior level in an international tournament, marking a significant milestone in the history of Indian KUDO.
As KUDO Himachal continues its journey, the association remains committed to nurturing and empowering athletes, fostering a culture of discipline, perseverance, and excellence in martial arts.
